Good price for this ring?

Just bought an engagement ring, did I get a good deal? Its 2.1 C TW, three stone with the center stone 1.04 carats, and the other two stones .50 carats each and with 6 total sides stones at about .01 carats each. The quality is I color with SI1 clarity I paid 6500 before taxes, was this a good deal?

No. You did not get a good deal, but you wer enot ripped off.  It should have been $4,500-5,500.  

In my opinion you paid an extra $1,000.00  TCW is a rip off term,  Did you get services added on?  Don't.  For the amount you spent, You should have got a VVS1 in clarity and an H or G color.  If you get it appraised thought, I bet it would come out to about $6,500.00.  Apprasial value is usually the same as the retail cost, which is what you paid, and you can always do better than retail.

But think of it this way.  From what you said, the ring is impressive.  Be happy that you found a ring you like and let that be that.

That sounds about right it sounds beautiful!  If you are really worried about it just get it appraised.  You are going to have to get it appraised anyway if you want to have it covered under her homeowners insurance or renters insurance

I think it's an acceptable deal. Can you provide more information about the cut of the stones (brilliant, princess?) and the quality of the cut (ideal, good, etc). Check out similar diamonds on www.bluenile.com and see if you can price out the stones.

6500 for SI clairity. To be honest I would have done more research on websites and found similar diamonds and then looked. A 1ct being an SI isn't really that clear of a stone. If you really want to know, then do some comparison online try these sites, you can look up those size diamonds w/the same specs and see what they should cost.

Depends on how well the stones on cut, the color of the stones, and what the setting is made out of.  Doesn't sound like you got totally ripped off or anything but those are major factors in how much the ring is worth.
