Good price for used car for highschool?

What do u think would be a good price for a teens first car in highschool? I am saving money for one, and my parents and my grandma have agreed to pay part. I am looking at a VW Jetta or Passat.

Young drivers usually have much higher rates than others. And it depends from car.

also i remember someone saying that thoes cars are very espensive to insure because the way they crumpel up and are very expencive to fix not to mention that if you are in highschool your rates will be high enough

I would spend around $4,000. People spend more, but the car usually gets wrecked within weeks of purchase. Get something safe and reliable, the VW Jetta or Acura Integra.
