Good pub restaurant food in London?

My gf and friends are coming from Spain on the 30th and i need to arrange some good food. I don't really know what is typical english food so i thought pub food. anyone know a decent Pub Food restaurant in London? something traditional

I can particularly recommend the Eagle, which is the original gastropub, and also the Ebury; the Angelsea Arms is also good though service can be slow.

oh my god - there are thousands of pubs in london, but anything in Kingston-upon-Thames will be really nice!!!
