Good quality student pilot uniform shirt?

Hey, I'm in the market of buying a new blue pilot shirt for my uniform. (Commercial pilot @ university). This shirt can't be white as I'm not a CFI yet. Just wondering, does anyone know of any nice looking, quality cut student pilot shirts? I wear "Martin's Flighter" shirt sold at the local bookstore. I'm tall and lean. The shirt looks a little boxy and wide at the arms and cheap. Anyone pilots here recommend good quality nice looking shirts? Van Heusen maybe? I try to look as good and professional as possible.

  1. If you want to spend a little more money, consider a Landerwood shirt. They fit much better than most pilot shirts out there. Well worth the extra bucks.  http://www.landerwoodshirts.com/

  2. Don't know where you you can buy a blue aviator. My experience with Van Heusen however is that they run baggy.  Do you go to spartan by chance? We had the smurf uniforms when I went there.

  3. try this site http://www.justtshirt.com for the cheapest shirt prices ive seen so far.

  4. Oh my god do NOT buy one of those!!!

You're going to get made fun of every day for being "that guy."

Only nerds wear those shirts before they have to.  I know it seems nice to be able to advertise that you are a pilot, but ffs, just go out and buy a nice t-shirt instead.

A pilot's shirt is nothing more than a work uniform.  We take it off as son as we get off work.  To voluntarily put something like that on in order to be identified as a student is kind of geeky.
