  1. Taste of Texas on I-10 is good and has a somewhat romantic setting.

The melting pot on westheimer is a extremely great place to take a date for prom because its fun and diverse and trendy with an edge.

Whatever you do don't go to the olive garden.

If those dont interest you use http://www.citysearch.com

search under houston and resturants, you can search price ranges and specifics like type of food or what type of setting you want and you can use the zip code of the area you prefer and use the distance to see where its located.

Have a good time at your prom and just try and make everything fun and not so serious with all the uncomfortable silences.  Your date may have something in mind maybe talk to her about it.

  2. Come down the Beltway to 59 and Wilcrest and try the Pappas Grill Steakhouse, the prices are way reasonable for a steakhouse.  Great food and romantic ambience, while dining there with my husband we spotted Marvin Zindler...goes to say a lot for cleanliness.

  3. You can have a very nice steak dinner at Perry's Steakhouse on I-10 at Gessner outside the Memorial City Mall.   (832) 358-9000.  The meal for two should be around $100.  (This is sharing a appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert, with sodas.)  You order for her, the gentleman that you are...

Also, if you like Mexican food (the real thing) go to Las Alamedas on I-10 at Voss---a beautiful restaurant.

Here the link to view the menu.  They have live music, guitarists, from 6 - 9PM every night.  Call ahead and make reservations for one of the alcove tables.

    Have fun!

  4. Ah, either Memorial or Spring Woods prom, I'd guess.

Perry's (mentioned above by CookingPancakes, is a good one.

I would also suggest Carrabba's for decent Italian food. I-10 between Wilcrest and Kirkwood.

China View has very good Chinese food and won't break the bank. They probably don't get a lot of prom-goers there, though. I-10 at Wilcrest.

Kobe restaurant and steakhouse is at Bunker Hill and I-10 (in the strip center at the back).

    Have fun at prom.
