What are some good, not-too-expensive, moderately classy restaurants around W. 70th?

Isabellas - great for dates, beautiful setting - 77th & Columbus

Josies - all organic and totally delicious - 74th & Amsterdam

Gari - amazing sushi - 77th & Columbus

Santa Fe - great Mexican - amazing margaritas - 71st Between CPW & Columbus

Given the choice - I would try and avoid the restaurants right in the Lincoln Center area (around 66th - 69th or so...) the restaurants over there seem to be considerably overpriced.

Isabella's is about as see-and-be-seen as the relatively unpretentious Upper West Side gets. The airy bi-level space is perfect for people watching, as is the patio, where diners overlook the Museum of Natural History while picking at dishes from a Mediterranean-tinged menu. Filling homemade pastas, like the seasonal dessert-y pumpkin ravioli in brown butter sauce, and lighter fare.
