Probably the most popular restaurant is St. Elmos downtown.  

Another very popular (chain) restaurant is The Melting Pot, which is a fondue restaurant.

On the west side of town one of the more popular options is Rick's Boatyard.

If you would lik something on the Northeast side of town, try Bella Vita at the Marina at Geist lake.
