Good restaurants in lower part of California?

Question

I'm visiting California at the end of the month for my little cousin's 22 b-day. I want to take him out to a really nice resturant cause he loves to dress up and go to very chic places. Do you know of any restaurants like these in the San Bernadino area, or maybe LA.

the Elephant bar, Ruth's chris, cheesecake factory, the chart-house, east side Mario's if you like Italian,  all types of restaurants in LA

I have been to The Castaway in San Bernadino, twice. I had a lovely time on both visits.

In Los Angeles, The Bungalow Club is very trendy. They have private dining cabanas too. The Wilshire in Santa Monica, is very chic and very trendy.

A bit closer to San Bernardino is Riverside, Calif. If you want to stick closer to home... Try Sevilla, an award winning place which serves Spanish food and flamenco dancers entertain you. Sevilla is a favourite place of my aunt's

Also in LA/Hollywood.. If you feel like a real adventure, Ritual is getting to be a very "in" spot now. I haven't been there yet. But I hear nothing but raves about it.
