Good restaurants in northern Virginia?

my birthday is coming up and i wanna spend some time with my girlfriends. do you know any resturaunts in northern virginia that are fun/good food/not too fancy?

Have you been to any of the Great American restaurants? I'd recommend Sweetwater Tavern in Falls Church. It's a microbrewery with sort of a Western theme, but the food is really good, and the prices are pretty reasonable.

cheesecake factory, maggianos, red lobster, chevys, Todai (japenese seafood buffet in Fair Oaks mall), Costal Flats.

There's the Majestic in Alexandria for a good homestyle meal, Restaurant Eve if you are willing to spend a little extra. Also, you could go to Daniel O'Connels for great bar snacks. Then there's Hank's Oyster Bar, great for a fun time out. If you're very adventerous, take a trip to DC and eat at Super-Cool Zengo.

La Toscana is a Spanish Tapas bar on King St in Old Town Alexandria.  Probably best Tapas in DC.  Many will say Jaleo's but I have not been impressed with Jaleos.  The rest of Old Town Alexandria on King St, there on tons of places.

In Rossalyn / Arlington there are several places that are good.  There is a Thai place that is always hopping!  I mean it becomes big!   Cafe Asia, 1550 Wilson Blvd, [phone].  You can Metro there and if you like take the metro to Galleria in DC or Woodley Park and walk into Adam's Morgan.
