My favorite place is Taste of Texas. It's off I-10 and Gessner. Near the area where Town and Country mall used to be. Wonderful food.

Fogo de Chao, Brazilian grilled meats - all you can eat, fixed price menu

The Melting Pot - elegant fondue dining

Bice - very upscale Utalian dining

Carmelo's - a great little Italian restautant

Yao;s  - great Chinese food

Fadi's - a Middle Eastern Luby's

Dimassi's - one of the great Middle Eastern Buffets

Thai Spice  My absolute favorite buffet.  Not a huge selection, but fine food served buffet style

Bistro Le Cep - French country cooking at it's finest

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - Great steaks

Brenner's - fine steakhouse

The Strip Club - wonderful steaks

Hinz Bar-B-Que - Pecan smoked!

Las Alemedas - Elegant Mexican food

Mark's American Cuisine - the best!

There are so many great places to eat in Houston. It all depends on how much money you want to spend and what you are in the mood for eating!

There is a place called Open City which has a fantastic view and you can eat inside or outside! Great prices and great drinks!!!!

Also you should pick up a copy of the magazine called Envy, its a houston magazine and it has all the best restraunts in there and will tell you where they are located, what they serve etc...

Heglburgers at the corner of Dairy Ashford & Beechnut.  Great food, they have a 1 lb heglburger, wings, pasta, Greek Pizza, and many other great dishes.  Ask the owner to make you the Chicken with Artichoke dish, Wow, it's out of this world!

If you likje Itailain I would recommend going to Two Brothers Pasta, its a small hole in the wall but its like walking into Italy.
