  1. The Grill at Padaro Beach, Santa Claus Lane, Carpinteria,

About 20 minutes north of Camarillo. Outdoor seating.  Salmon, cole slaw, fries. Or burgers. On the Ocean.

    MMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  2. Jerrys famous deli off the 101 and topanga...as well as Ruth Chris steak house and P.F Changs

  3. If you're leaving around 10 or 11ish, I'd recommend stopping for lunch in Santa Barbara at La Superica. It's on Milpas Street. Tasty Mex food. It's famous because Julia Child was fond of it. I'm fond of it, too.

I would also recommend stopping at Pismo Beach at going to the Splash Cafe for a bowl of hearty clam chowder. This stuff is rich!

If you are interested in vineyards, go a little further north to Paso Robles. With Paso's burgeoning wine industry (though it's been there for ages -- it's only newly discovered by everyone else), a lot of fine restaurants are cropping up. a lot of vineyards have barbecues, too (Opolo and Tobin James come to mind). Also in Paso Robles in Bad Bubba's BBQ. It's at the 46 West and 101. Great tri-tip!

But the region in general is well known for tri-tip BBQ. It's called "Santa Maria Style" for good reason.
