Question:

Good road bike climbing hills in WV and PA?

Hi, I am an avid road cyclist who enjoys climbing. (Plus, the recent stages of the Tour de France have inspired me.) Alas, I live in Ohio, where the longest, highest, hills leave a little something to be desired. Does anyone have any good suggestions for climbing in West Virginia and Western PA. I'm looking for long, tall mountains with manageable traffic. A good view at the top would be a plus, but not necessary.

  1. Gosh, I don't have much, but I did road ride around Seven Springs ski area (SE of Pittsburgh) before. There was plenty of steep hills, in fact it was ALL hills. I when out there with a 53x39 and 12x25 cassette and I was hard pressed to make it up a few hills (zig-zagged all the way up) I'd check it out.
