  1. if you want two you should get some robo dwarf hamsters there cute and small and easy to take care of. I got mine for 19.99 a piece.

  2. ferrets are not rodents, they are rel8ted to weasels.syrian hamsters are easily tamed and easy to care for.get a male, they are easier to tame than females.

  3. Each species has different care. You should probably do thorough research on rescue websites before choosing. Pet store care sheets and books often downplay the level of work to sell more.

  4. Not all rats have red eyes! some have blue. Rats are WAY better! Rats are very nice pets cause they are sweet and very loving. they are also very easy to take care of and cost little money for care. per month for my rat costs about $6.00. they are really good pets!

  5. hamster/guinea pig because they have personality and come to them if you call their name (well my does) and they also come in different breeds and colours and hair types so i go with hamster/guinea pig

they are $5 at pet shops but i would go with home bred ones because they are more friendly also 5 to 10 dollars

mice and rats are too small and unfreindly

  6. get a Syrian  hamster. they are great. they have personalities. you can even teach them to come. its not that easy but it can happen. they don't cost that much. usually 5-10$.

  7. A guinea pig by far is the best rodent pet.  They are sweet, friendly, socialable and they never bite.  They also live five to eight years which is more than a lot of other rodents.

  8. Rats are really cute, depending on what kind you get!!! My friends Hannah and Cailin (Identicle twins, search them up on Google) have the most ADORABLE rat named Rosie!!! It is white with a HUGE gray spot on it's back, and it's eyes aren't beady OR red!!!!

  9. Well I have 2 mice. They are pretty entertaining to watch and so far, pretty low maintenence.. Mice are really cheap though, mine costed anywhere from $1.50 - $3.00. If you decide to get some, I'd say rescue 2 FEMALE feeder mice, and make sure they are healthy and females. 2 males can't live together because they usually end up fighting to the death. A male and female shouldn't live together unless you're responsible enough to take care of 20+ babies! Read a lot of research though about the pet you want to get, search up forums for more info.. I read that rats are smarter than mice though, so if you're looking for an intelligent creature go for them.

  10. Rats, they may not be the prettiest animals to some people but they are very loving and attach to their owners. They can learn tricks like learn their name! 5-8 dollars at pet shops.

  11. get rats :) they are amazing and i love them very much, they make great pets

  12. a shitzu and a Pomeranian

  13. a rat!

  14. rats definitely the way to go ----helps you learn about nutrition as they eat the same as humans but may need a little more vitamin B so you need to do your research. Also do not have a strong smell as mice but you still need to clean cages regularly. They do appreciate your caring, feeding and cleaning and will check out all new things in the cage. Paper is good as they will shred it for their sleeping area. Can also be allowed to scamper about a little while you are cleaning as will return to the cage or your hand for safety. On hot summer days love to fish out frozen peas out of the water---will even immerse their cute little heads searching---totally funny. That' s why you have pets so that you can have such good times together and the rattie is the most responsive as they are quick to learn. When choosing try not to pick the really shy ones as they may be just too frightened to tame easily. The same s*x is necessary and easy to tell. Which s*x ? Males are just so much more laid back than females and more relaxed but either is OK females just need more exercise so good luck and have fun . Lots of advice on how to look after them so check it out. I bought mine from the pet store as it was the easiest. I also sell stock to pet stores as I made the mistake of getting a pair which are now kept separate but mistakes happen when I clean the cages. You can also keep more than a couple as they are such social animals and young ones will generally fit in with the older ones although there may be some bullying.

  15. get a rat, but it doesn't have to be an albino. they come in tons of colors and u can get them from breeders if u want. rats are very intelligent and social creatures, and make great pets. if u get one from a breeder they ar eabout 15 dollars a rat but they are already socialized and in good health so it is worth it. rats from a pet store are more skittish . hope i helped!

  16. the absolute easiest and funnest way to go is mice they are soooo cheap super easy to care for and one of the most fun pets ive had and i have had all the animals you have listed there another plus is that they are smart and can be trained

  17. Rats are very friendly and intelligent. They can learn their names and can easily be trained to do tricks or more practical stuff (like stay within a certain area when let out of the cage or litter box training). Rats can cost anywhere from $6-8 at a pet store, $10-20 from a breeder or by donation from a rat rescue. I wouldn't recommend the pet store because the rats haven't been socialized and occasionally have respiratory illnesses. If there is a rat rescue in your area it is by far the most ethical way of adopting. Many times they have rats already in cages and with everything you'll need and accept donations on a sliding scale.

I can't speak about hamsters and ferrets since I never owned them, but I chose rats because they are the most social and intelligent domestic rodents.
