Good running trails in Houston? (aside from Memorial Park)?

Question

moving to houston in couple of weeks and looking to live near good running trail (marked)...already looked near Memorial Park....anything in SW Houston? are there schools that allow you to run on their tracks?

You can run on tracks at school...how far southwest are you going to be...some of the areas near Sugarland & Meyerland area... have some trails...but to be honest- Memorial Park is the best running trail.  Or you can go to Hermann Park...but that is more downtown.   But to be honest...Houston isn't as runner friendly as say Austin...most people have gym memberships.  It is a HUGE Urban city.  I had trouble running anywhere but the gym or memorial park.  Oh and I just remembered the Rice Village area has a nice trail near the university.
