I would like to maintain the progress that my children have made this school year in their English as a Second Language classes. Can anyone recommend any good sites on line?

  1. I'd buy them a book instead - it'll be more thorough and better quality (there are very good computerized ESL programs, but they cost a lot of money). Free sites online aren't that great.

If your students are in at least 4th grade, Betty Azar's grammar series is considered the best there is by many teachers. If they need something more colorful and simpler, I'd use the Side-By-Side books. They are good for elem through adults. They both have a lot of interactive exercises you can do with your kids. You can get single copies of any of these for not too much money on sites like Amazon.

Or, you could just have your students read in English as much as possible. When they finish, ask them to tell you about the book (sometimes by writing, sometimes by speaking). That will do a lot to help them.
