Good sleep away riding camps?

OK so i can do the follwing things

-walk, trot, canter

-walk, trot, canter without stirrups

-walk,trot, canter bareback

-jump crossrails bareback and without stirrups

-jump verticals at canter (full course/ 8 or more jumps/ 2 fo0ot 3 inches)

-been riding 1 and a half years

lokking for bext summer camp skill probably willl have changed by then.........but i want it to be challengin

-in mo, kentucky, or illionis

  1. I don't know any in the states you mentioned. But, I went to Vershire Riding Camp in Vermont for a number of years.  They have horses suitable for beginners to advanced riders and they divide the groups up small so you will be with people on your own level.  You have your own horse for the camp period and are responsible for it (grooming, tacking, cleaning it's stall, water, feeding (sometimes)).  You have 4 hours of mounted lessons a day.  It's basically an eventing camp so you do flat (dressage), stadium jumping and cross-country (any level can do this since there are difficult and easy jumps).  I'm attaching the web site:
