At 5 you could probably use songs on those Kid Bopz cd's.  They're songs that we would listen to on the radio, but sung by kids and obviously, the bad stuff has been take out.

Tooty tah! This is the best ever kids song. My daughter and her class sang/danced to this at her preschool and the kids L-O-V-E-D IT! I did a quick google search and couldn't find the lyrics. But I will get with the teacher today, and find out where to get that song, Check back, I'll edit this later. This is a variaton from the hokey pokey. VERY VERY VERY CUTE AND INTERACTIVE SONG!!!!

I don't know about yours, but my 4 1/2 yr old loves the music from disney films especially High School Musical 1 and 2, she like Hannah Montana too, I'm about demented cos they're on constantly! Strangely enough she loves Madonna's 4 minutes to save the world, and Rhianna too - mind you that's my fault cos i've always got the radio on.

Basically a 5 yr old will love anything cheesy!

my daughter is over 4 and i bought the pop jr [junior] cd it has songs like the cha cha cha ,5,6,7,8, etc and on the cd is a dance cd and the girls can learn to dance too also my 11 year old and friends joined in too give it a try its good
