Question:

Good songs for walking down the aisle & dance?

I was thinking about "All you need is love" by the Beatles, but I would like something a bit slower- still different and quirky, but slower- maybe acoustic?

ALSO I need a dance for the first dance- there will be my hubby and me, and our grooms/bridal parties on the floor with us. Any ideas?

ALSO there will NOT be a father daughter dance as my father is NOT invited to the wedding. However, what other songs are good for dancing at a wedding reception?

Thanks!

  1. I wanted some Celtic sounding music for my wedding and had the Braveheart soundtrack playing for my girls and then me. Walked back down the aisle to Enter Sandman by Metallica. We played a lot of Journey and classic rock for our wedding. If you want All You Need is Love, listen to Jim Sturgess's version from Across the Universe. It is a bit slower than the Beatle's version.

  2. Try going to the Knot.com.  They have a list of songs for the ceremony, reception, first dance etc.

  3. You might want to check this site http://www.365weddingsongs.com which you can select from the video/lyrics of the wedding songs.

  4. How about walking down to " It's Your Love" by Faith and Tim?

1st dance - Everything I do I do it for you....

SHAKE IT!!!!  ya gotta play that one!

  5. Our recessional was to Then He Kissed Me, by the Crystals.

We got tons of compliments on it!

  6. I've always thought that if I could have someone play the piano part of Clocks by Coldplay to walk down the aisle that would be so pretty.  Maybe a tad slower.  The piano part really is beautiful.
