  1. you can check it out at yummyuck. com for good restaurants/pubs/eat outs.

  2. Magnolia's is a must when visiting Charleston.  Great southern cooking at pretty reasonable prices.  You'll need to get reservations.  If there on Sunday, try brunch at Saffron's Cafe and Bakery.  The food is wonderful and its off the market so not very crowded and predominantly serving locals.  For lunch, you have to go to Hyman's near the market.  The food is not great, but its good and the ambience is truly southern.  Ask for boiled peanuts.  They give them to you like chips at a Mexican restaurant so its a riskless way to try this Southern caviar.

  3. I had the best shrimp and grits I ever had in my life at Hymans there food is awesome.....http://www.hymanseafood.com/

  4. For real? Charleston is a food city. First of all, and no offense to the answer-giver, avoid Hyman's at all costs. It is over rated and the line is far to long. If you want good seafood with a southern flair, check out Blossom's, on East Bay Street. If you are looking for casual, down-home southern food, Jestine's Kitchen on Meeting St. is the best in town. For something buisness-casual, 82 Queen, on Queen St., they have the best she-crab soup in town. More fancy suggestions; Charleston Grill, Peninsula Grill.
