Good sporty car for teen?

Question

Male, 17. I want a kinda 2nd hand sporty car that has a fast acceleration (0-60 wise). I have $10k-$14k to spend. I've been looking into 04' mustangs, Golf GTI's, but I can't find anything else. I'm looking to modding it by a supercharger/turbo.

Price or insurance is not a problem because it will be driven once a week.

Celica or Acura RSX. Both are fast and get 30mpg.

Insurance is going to be the same regardless of how much you drive it. You should look at Grand Prix GTPs since they are already supercharged.

dude.. 10000$$  you can get whatever u want...     heres what you do.. go to craigslist.com  and type in camaro...  they got all sorts of sweet ones for that price.. i bought an 85 camaro for 1400$  for 10,000 you can get an insanely fast camaro or mustang... dont go for those forgien junk

go for a mitsubushi evo 8. they are great for speed and acceleration

go for a chevy cobalt coupe LS.  cheapest model, roll down windows but is good on gas, reliable and otherwise good/sporty looking.

A chevy cobalt is very popular right now with teens. It runs well and is in the price range you're looking for.

the VW GTI is a GREAT car. Its fun when you want to drift, or just to drive around town.

Also, have you looked at the Acura RSX and the Honda Civic Si's? Very fun cars to drive that are easy to customize.

If your looking for a newer model, you'll probably be able to find a scion tC for just about 14k

You can get a Bugatti for about $14K. Oh wait...that's per week.
