  1. Get what is comfortable and keep the CCs low. Like maybe somewhere from a 650-1000 CCs.

I started out, as a child, riding small dirt bikes. First street bike I drove was a 45 flathead, which is 45 cu. in. very small. went to a 650 yamaha and loved it, but I am a 4'11"women and don't need a large bike. I have owned many bikes since then of all sizes up to a 1200.

I am riding a 650 now and it is just not big enough power wise. I want to go to something more like 800 CCs - 1200.

As far as your height, you really just need to check around for the type of bike that feels best to you. I go and sit on them and feel the weight distribution of each and the way they sit between my legs, being I am  so short.

  2. kx 600 mint bike

  3. Triumph Bonneville 865cc

  4. 600cc for a new rider will be enough power till you get the complete hang of riding .all for your safety.

  5. depends what kind of riding you want to do . Sport ? sport touring ? cruiser? standard ? there are a lot or good bikes so I would recommend something like the Suzuki sv650 0r bandit or gs500f or the Kawasaki zzr600 or ninja 650r .

  6. It depends on what style of bike you want. A 600cc cruiser would be an ok first bike, but a 600cc sportbike is a rocket on wheels and should be avoided at all costs by a newbie.

If you want a cruiser look at bikes like the Yamaha V-star 650, and if it's too small for you look to install "forward controls" that will cost maybe $300 but will give you more legroom.

If you want a sportbike do NOT NOT NOT buy anything bigger than 500cc no matter what anybody else tells you. The best one out there by far is the Ninja 250. It is a super beginner bike and has plenty of power for your first year on the bike.

I know you think you need a bigger bike because you are tall, but your safety and confidence as a beginner is more important. You don't want to hurt yourself or somebody else, or scare yourself out of a lifetime of the pleasure of motorcycling, just because you need a "big" bike. CONSIDER SAFETY AND CONFIDENCE OVER BEING A LITTLE CRAMPED UP FOR YOUR FIRST YEAR ON THE BIKE! YOU WILL BE REPAID WITH A LIFETIME OF HAPPY RIDING LATER ON YOUR DREAM BIKE.

  7. A 600 or 750 Honda Shadow. If you go with the 760 get the one w shaft drive.

  8. I'm also 6'3" and I found the Suzuki Boulevard C50 to be an excellent bike to learn on ,its big enough to be the  only bike you will ever need. I've owned eight bikes and its the easiest bike I've ever ridden, its powerful , it looks like its at least a 1200cc, but its light enough to be easy to handle. Its the best selling mid-size cruiser on the market. I would recommend that you put it on your list to look at.

  9. Harley street bob, it's a 6 speed and it's what everyone wants but only a few can actually have.
