Question:

Good substitue for Bragg's Liquid Aminos in a recipe?

There's a recipe I can make for dinner, only if I can skip or replace the Bragg's Liquid Amino's in the recipe. I assume it's a flavoring, but not sure. Don't want to run out to the health food store just for that.

  1. Any type of soy sauce is a good substitute, but Bragg's is lower in sodium, so you might want to dilute the amount so the food is not so salty.

Usually I use half the soy sauce I would use in a recipe that calls for Bragg's Liquid Aminos.

Soy sauce also has a stronger flavor, which is another reason why you don't have to use as much.

  2. Soy Sauce

  3. You can use soy sauce or tamari.  It may have a slightly different flavor, but not enough to affect the recipe.

  4. Soy sauce...it's pretty much the same thing

  5. In addition to the suggestion for soy sauce and tamari, I add the option of shoyu, which is lower in isoflavones, so it may help those who are trying to limit their soy intake. :)
