  1. go to a surfshop and have one custom shaped for her. just tell the personnel at the shop what type of waves she rides, where she rides, etc. that would be great. if you can't do that and really want to just buy something online, killerdana.com has some of the major shapers (channel islands, rusty, t. patterson, etc.)

  2. i say go to surf board shop or go to ebay and they might hve lots of choices

  3. Defintly talk to a local surfshop they're always super helpful on that stuff. Otherwise just straight up ask her, after all the boards for her...no one is gonna know her surfing style better. Then you won't accidently get wrong measurments or anything..As far as i know, Billabong doesn't make surfboards, only clothe & excessories.

  4. You'd be a lot better off going into a surf shop where somebody can help you out. There are plenty of good boards out there.

  5. I live at Newport Beach, in Sydney, Australia, so I know a LOT!! Firstly, if you go to a surf shop and ask to buy one, then they don't know your ability. You should go to surfschool, then they will tell you what would be best for you. Usually a foamy is good for a beginner, then half foam, half fibre, then full fibre. I am a fantastic surfer, and a girl, so I use fibre. If none of theses suggestions work, call me...

  6. Dude. NEVER EVER buy a surfer who is experienced a board. I mean, you can pay for it, sure! But, surfboards to an experienced surfer are personal. She and she alone is the only one who should be picking out her stick. Tell her you're gonna take out and buy her a board. Then let her pick out the shops and/or shaper and board she wants. Trust me man, do this and then take a back seat. Hope you're ready to shell out $400-$800 too! Good luck. Happy hunting. Mahalo.

  7. First off find out what she rides.  Length, width, thickness, shape.  If the board isn't marked measure it yourself, better yet grab some extra measurements at 1 foot from the nose and tail as well.  Take all of this magical info to a surf shop and talk to someone knowledgeable about what to get her.  It would also help if you have seen her surf and can make impartial judgment about how well she surfs.

BTW, as far as I know Billabong doesn't make boards, just clothes and wet suits.
