We're throwing a surprise birthday dinner for a friend. What are some good sushi buffets or good sushi restaurants in the Bay Area (San Jose, Cupertino, Milpitas, Santa Clara, etc.)

  1. good sushi and all you can eat are mutually exclusive.

If you want fresh fish, top quality, you have to pay. period.

that stuff at the buffets might not make you sick, but it cannot be top quality.

  2. Sushi Lovers is a great place. It is really small, but has AMAZING food. They are somewhat expensive though. I think they are in Bakersfield or something, m not sure, but they are great. You can watch them make your food and they have little boats that float arround a buffet. You pay by the ammount of plates you went through and what type they were.

  3. Hokkaido buffet is a great place!! they have a lot of fresh sushi! and plenty of selection! it's in san mateo

  4. The only place I know like that is Todai.

** personally, I don't like all you can eat fish places and would rather order, but some people love this place.
