Our school has this school dance coming up in 2 weeks, and the theme is make your own.

A group of me and my friends are wanting too dress up but we have no idea for a make your own kinda theme.

So if you'd could please help me think of one, and what clothes we would wear i would greatly appreciate it. But there's a dress code. The code is we have too wear enclosed shoes e.g. ballet flats and no singlet tops or flesh showing, except on our arms and legs and face etc. Oh and our limit on clothing is $30!

Something really creative. But something so we don't look retarded. And also if you could put the price next too the clothing i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

  1. I like the theme "Under the Sea" but, for my birthday party, I'm planning an award show kind of thing, like at the Oscars.  Or, you could all just dress in pink and have a think-pink theme, and that wouldn't be too expensive, and you'd still look cute. :-) good luck!

  2. Well really it depends on the style of dance, your choreography and also your personality.

If you are doing something like hip hop or pop, I suggest you just wear shorts and your favourite top, the same colour for everyone in your group if possible. Wear sneakers. Ballet flats and heels are not really something you'd want to wear while you're dancing (Unless, of course, you're doing a ballroom or classical routine.)

The clothing also depends on the season. If it's winter, wear shorts with leggings underneath, and a jumper with a hood and baggy pants or jeans to get that extra hip hop style. Wear your hair down. It won't get in the way unless it's really long, a lot of pro hip hop dancers wear their hair down.

So all I can suggest is you each wear a similar thing, but it doesn't have to be the same in colour.

Also, dancing in bear foot is suitable but if you want to be a bit more fancy, wear sneakers or any shoes which you think you'd be able to dance in.

Hope I helped and good luck!
