Good thesis on popularity/peer pressure?

i'm doing a sociology project on peer pressure & popularity and how they're interelated and i need a good thesis . thanks!

  1. Popularity and peer pressure are directly correspondant in the idea that in order to be "popular" to have to do "popular things" - the things other popular people are doing; smoking, drinking; things you might not do otherwise. Many break from peer pressure in hopes that doing whatever it is, will make them cooler in the eyes of the popular.


  2. Being popular is directly related to how one responds to peer pressure.  A person who gives into peer pressure is more likely to be labeled by their peers as popular as opposed to someone who does not give into peer pressure.
