Good things to train/pratice with my horse?

i ride a 4 year old QH/ARAB.

we just started showing english (flat)

shes learning a headset and coming along well.

just thinking...what would be

some good things to do with her

to make her a better show horse or

just horse. any ideas? u kno

getting her used to stuff or excercises

to make her pick up her gaits.

Do lots of lunging with her, and get her to change the diagonal. So she can change when asked at a show.

Also get her to go on the bit. It looks good at a show .

When my QH mare was 4-6, she had a really hard time moving out, especially since she was primarily a Western horse.  I remember really moving my hips to the lope in the saddle, in a slow, long pace.  This forced her to move out as much as she could.  Horses respond strongly to how you move individually in the saddle.
