Good topics to write about Zoology?

It's for Senior Project. A friend of mine wants to do it on zoology. But what are some specific topics to write about zoology that can go as far as 7+ pages? As for the field work, what can you do for that?

Maybe write about the recovery work (breeding programs, conservation efforts, etc) being done for an endangered species.  Like Pandas, Red Wolves, or something similar.
