Good toys for kids?

what are some good toys for kids ages birth-10 years.i do daycare and i want the toys to be different.so do you have any suggestions that your kids liked or something?

Stacking blocks, paints and crayons. party foam all kids even adults like this.

Large cardboard boxes can be made into other things and safe for all ages. You don't have to spend loads of money kids mainly enjoy doing creative things anyway.

I also do home day care.  Kids love big empty boxes.  They can use their imaginations to create all sorts of things.  Plus boxes are very inexpensive.  Painting is another thing most kids love.

I have three kids aged 2, 4 and 7 and find they all love our fisher price little people sets. They are great for imaginative play, and they spend hours with them!

Ride on toys are always a favourite as well.

My daughter has loved blocks, her Baby Tad doll, a little cookie jar that played music and that had slots to stick shapes in.... her Mozart Music Cube, balls, fake keys/phones, dress-up clothes, barbies, baby dolls w/ bottles & accessories to play with, McDonald's toys, paper & crayon, and playing cards.

Birth to 10 is a really big span.  I definitely agree with whomever said a big box (ditto for any other kind of random supplies like plastic cups or bits of string or foil pans or pillows and blankets ... my kids could entertain themselves for days with things like that).

I assume you have segregated rooms, in which case I strongly recommend marble track for the older set (which of course poses a choking hazard to the younger ones, so you do have to be careful).  Simple blocks and props like toy kitchens and pretend foods and ride-ons are great for little kids.

We have a gazillion toys but it's the simplest ones (wood blocks, play kitchen, couch cushions) that get used every day, because they lend themselves so well to multiple uses.
