good for the lakers. odom only has one year left and then he would be out of houston most likely. alston's 3 is just ridiculous and battier plays great defense.

It's alright, though I don't see why the Rockets would want Odom, being that they already have Artest and McGrady. They need a point-guard, not another small forward.

This trade doesnt make sense for Houston. It had the very successul but underrated tandem of Carl Landry and Luis Scola last year at PF. Both of them are young and will be even better his year with more experience. Meanwhile, the Lakers have a tremendous bench and would not be wise to trade quality (Odom, best player in deal) for quanity (Battier, Hayes, Alston, all solid role players).
