Good types of bait for catfish and carp?

does any one know any really simple type of catfish baits and carp baits? if so please let me know i know theres big cats in the lake i fish at and the only one thing that works best is chicken liver and thats really a smelly bait and i use corn for carp and it only works some times so does any one know any good cheap not smelly baits for carps r cats?????

Here's a list for you that will work for both.Also if you can get some corn maize and boil it then let it sit for about a day soaking that will work better than the canned sweet corn.

the best thing for a cat, that ive found is a 3-6 inch chub or that stinky stuff, but i have better luck with minnows, becaause it i s a natrual food source. as far as a carp goes. if they arent biteing on corn, then they aint biting

Use fresh white bread and make dough balls from it for carp. Night crawlers or worms work for cats but nothing I have found works better than fresh chicken liver. Cut it with a very sharp knife into small pieces, about the size of thumb nail. Use small wire hook so the liver will not throw off when casting.

nightcrawlers are good for both.....
