  1. Press handstands not only use upper body strength, but also your core and back muscles. It also helps if you have loose hips. To build arm muscles, holding handstands for 30 sec to 1 min, repeating several times a day will build arm and shoulder muscles. Push ups and handstand push ups will also build strength in your arms. Sit ups and crunches will build stomach muscles and superman (lay on your stomach and lift your arms and legs, straight) will build back muscles.

Also, practicing your press handstand against a wall will help you get the feeling of it. Start with your hands about a hands length from the wall. shift your weight to your hands. Using the wall for support (your head and shoulders should be against the wall) lift your hips straight up, then bring your legs up the side to a handstand position.

Practicing this will also help build all of the necessary muscles.

    Hope this helps :)
