Hello,

I am looking for a good used car that cost around $6000 to $8000. I want something with either a V6/V8 engine or a super/turbo charged 4 cylinder; basically a car with some kick or something I can modify.

I would like something that has alot of room in the cabin because I am about 6'4 and weigh about 250lbs, so no Honda Civics please.

Also I would like something from 2002 and newer as I don't want a car with too many miles.

I have been looking at Pontiac G6s and Grand AMs but I can't find one in my budget. I have also been looking at Chevy Silverados but the only ones I can afford are 100,000+ miles.

Any suggestions?

  1. You should go to a car auction. They have cars and trucks there that go for way less than $8,000 all the time. So, I'm sure you'll be able to find a good newer model car you like there.

  2. check the internet. you can probably get a great deal now that no one's buying too much of anything especially expensive things right now...I'm not sure how they work but look into a car broker, they help you find the exact car you are looking for.

  3. 100k is nothing on an american truck. people think a car engine will drop out at the magic 100 mark. if it's maintained well, it will outlast our lifetime. it may not be your cup of tea, but try Lincoln Towncars from 1993-up. The air suspensions have known problems of not leveling upon start up(you may have seen many Lincolns slammed to the ground bouncing around). But it can be fixed if you encounter the problem. It's got plenty room, a good V8, plenty are on the road and they are dirt cheap. Easy to customise as well. That's just one vehicle to look at if you haven't already.
