The National Parks across America have alot to offer. Lots of beauty and wildlife. Yellowstone is one of my favorites.

What sort of things do you like to do on vacation?  See nature or see cities?  Where do you live so that you might feel you are getting away?  If you live in the city you might like Lancaster, PA:  see farmland, farm animals and the Amish lifestyle as far as the eye can see plus good homecookin.'  You can go tubing down the Pequea and feel like Huck Finn.  If you live in the country, you might benefit by going to LA to see museums like the Getty, great amusement parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios as well as the beach and Catalina Island.  If you want a tropical palm tree laden seaside place, I suggest  the east  coast of Florida; down on the Keys there's a snorkel park (Pennekamp). Also Oxnard's Mandalay Resort looks just like  Hawaii with Spanish architecture.  For the forested mountains?  It's hard to beat the beauty of Lake Tahoe or  Yosemite.  Gold Country is nice too, where you can go river rafting.  The Riverwalk in San Antonio is romantic and luscious along the river with great food and don't forget The Alamo.
