Good value for 50th birthday in sunderland?

we're in Sunderland this week for my partners 50th. I'd like to take him out to dine every day. A fancy meal for actual birthday, then just good value for the other days. There's 4 of us eating, do you know who might throw in complimentry drink or any other perk for special occasion?

A lot of restaurant will throw in a cake or dessert. It is against the law to throw in DRINKS..(in Texas) So call ahead and ask if they have any thing special for BD's.. Happy hunting
