Good vegatarian diet tips ?

i've been veggie for 4 months ish. i eat fish. i take vitamin pills with iron. recently i've been eating pasta/bread/potatoe every day sometimes for every meal - what can i eat that will fill me up but won't be bad for me lie alll these carbs ?

  1. Eat a ton of vegetables and fruits (like a salad) before you eat. Also make sure that your carbs are made from whole grains and are not refined because they will fill you up faster and will keep you fuller for longer.  


  2. Ok, first of all since you eat fish you aren't a vegetarian...you are a pescaterian.

    To answer your question: You can still have carbs, but add something to them. Such as instead of having just pasta, have pasta stir-fry with vegetables & nuts (choosing your own flavoured sauce). Instead of having plain potatoes, have a potato and vegetable curry. And with bread, you can add a wide range of veggies such as lettuce, cucumber, tomato, avacado, onion, carrot etc (choose your own combinations) and if you eat cheese, you can have that in sandwiches, too. Also, for breakfasts you can have museli with yougurt and/or sliced banana, tomato on toast, or home-made fruit salad with plain/berry flavoured yoghurt. Also, a tip: Protein keeps you fuller for longer, so try to eat less carbs and more protein (nuts, green vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, legumes such as kidney beans, lentils, soybeans etc and grains such as barley, brown rice and buckwheat).

    Also make sure you are drinking plenty of water, as sometimes thirst is mistaken for hunger. You should drink a glass of water before every meal (as well as drinking throughout the day).

  3. If you eat fish you are not a vegetarian . are you trying to loose weight. just stay away from the starches and sugar.
