Good vegetarian hot dogs?

Question

What is a good vegetarian brand of hot dogs? I tried Morningstar and i wasn't that crazy about it. Thanks! I don't eat any meat so please don't suggest turkey or chicken dogs. (:

I like "Yves" and "Smart Dogs".

Have to admit by the time I put the pickle relish on - onions - mustard - assorted other things I might be craving on it - who can really taste it??

But if I had to make a choice - those are the two I always seem to pick.  Just depends on which is on sale when I am wanting them.

morningstar farms "hot dogs" are the only ones i like......i tried smart dogs the other day and they smelled like the preservatives used to keep specimens from decaying in a laboratory.  formaldehyde scented hot dogs?! uh, no thanks.  that smell was so strong that i couldn't convince myself to put it in my mouth and ended up throwing it out =(

I hear Not Dogs are pretty good, although the fake meat concept still mystifies me.

morning star are the only ones I have ever seen. They are good if you load them with condiments and chips haha.

Maybe see if Bocca has any.

Tofurky, Lightlife, Yves all make vegetarian hotdogs. Most vegetarians I know prefer Tofurky and Lightlife's veggie dogs. There are different varieties such as corndogs, jumbo, chitpotle, italian, or extra long as well. I have only eaten two types:

Smart Dogs

Tofu Pups

They are both made by the same company. The only difference is (what I see as) a negligible fat content. Smart Dogs are fat-free, Tofu Pups have 2.5 grams of fat per serving. The Smart Dogs are marketed towards the more "health conscious" individuals. Tofu Pups are marketed as a "meat alternative." Truthfully there is hardly ever a difference between the two. I had a Smart Dog first, and absolutely loved it. Then when I was buying Smart Dogs (2 days ago) I noticed Tofu Pups, and I noticed they were nearly the same; same company and minor differences. My girlfriend and I bought both and taste tested. Smart Dogs taste great and I like them a lot, though Tofu Pups do pack, arguably, a better taste, which is negligible at best. Truthfully, I will buy whichever is on sale in the future.

But they both taste great, Tofu Pups though, taste a little bit better.
