Good way to dry fresh herbs so they will keep until next season?

I have an herb garden and love them fresh but would love to safe some for the winter months.

  1. hang cuttings upside-down in a warm/dry place (I have used my oven{not while it is on} on occasion)


  2. I collect a bunch of fresh herbs – put a rubber band around the bottom and hang them upside down in my kitchen until they are thoroughly dry.

    Another way to dry them is to put them on a cookie sheet and place them in the oven at 120 degrees until they are dry.

    You can then put them in air-tight containers or jars for future use.
