  1. It looks like you already tried what I was going to suggest first. The cratches must be deep/ Another thing to try is to buy touch up paint. That is something you can get at the dealership - where they sell floor mats and other accessories. touch up paint is a little bottle with a brush ( looks like nail polish). You either call or go to your local dealership, and tell them the year/ make/ model of your car and the color. Since it is a 97, they might not have it, but might be able to order it for you ( keep your fingers crossed). Once you get it, you will use the brush using the smallest amount of paint enough to cover. Allow to dry good, then buff, so that it is smooth..

    Hope it works !!!!

  2. Take it to a reputable Auto Detailer in your area. They can give you a  estimate on buffing the scratched out. No fuss knowing what kind of paint your car has or whether or not your buying the right compounds, waxes ect. to remove the scratches. Good luck!

  3. Go to a professional detailer and they will help you choose the right spray to match your color.

  4. wax, if that doesnt work it will need to be repainted...

  5. if you have a good clear coat lightly sand with 2000 grit sand paper and water then use rubbing compound with a buffer and wipe clean with a terry cloth if the scratches are through the clear u need to get it repainted.
