Good ways for teens to raise money??

me and some friends want to go to a huge music fest in MN, but we live in WI, so we need to raise some money for gas. not to mention - tickets, food, etc.

there will be anywhere from 3 to maybe 12 poeple going. i'm guessing about 10 people.

we need group activities, so to speak, that we can use to earn money.

i've already thought of car wash, lemonade stand, small garage sale. any other ideas or are these good??

here's a few extra details - we're teens and we're lookin to raise anywhere from 100 to 600 (or more) dollars by about mid July.

and yes, i know this will be hard work, and we have a unreasonable goal, but we would like to try and get as much money as possible, even if it's not as much as we want.

so thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. shoveling with all of you going together ash for 20 tell them its for a project for school  as you work down the street work as a team and take turns with the tools

  2. You could call neighbors and offer to babysit their kids for like $5 an hour (if all your friends do that, you'll make alot). A lemonade stand, trust me, won't make that much money. So don't waste time doing that. You could get a job. But I think the best way to make alot of money is the car wash. I know at my church we've done car washes and made ALOT of money off them. So you guys can do it like every Saturday.

    hope i helped =]

  3. go door to door and ask to do odd jobs for neighbors...

get your Mom's to bake some goodies and have a bake sale..

depending on time of year and location--rake leaves or shovel snow

People always need some sort of physical labor done....just ask..

  4. To raise money is very simple. Just finding out what fits for you is hard. You can do several things including;

    Have a garage sale

    Have a bake sale

    Dog sit

    Babysit

    Car wash

    Mowing peoples yard

Even helping around the house to get a few extra dollars

Ask your parents what you can do to raise money is also good

  5. Sell Lemonade

    Shovel Snow

    Babysit

    Chores

    Car Wash

  6. whatever you do, dont sell crack!

  7. You could make up some fliers and distribute in your neighborhood saying that you and your friends are trying to raise money and would be willing to do some odd jobs, like:

    *Cleaning up basements or garages

    *Light housecleaning

You can also see if they are willing to get rid of any household items that are in good condition. If you have craigslist (or something similar) in your area, then you can post the items and sell them, which will help raise money now...when the weather isn't good for yard sales. Actually, selling it on line would be better, since yard sale shoppers try to get the cheapest price no matter what the value.

All the other ideas like car washes, yard sales, bake sales, etc are good. Oh, Oriental Trading has some cheap crafting beads, you can make some inexpensive, but cute, jewelry and sell to friends and neighbors.  See if you can make a bunch of stuff and go to a local flea market or farmers market and sell your items there.

Good luck! And, whatever you do...only do it in groups, to keep safe!
