  1. The best website is http://realclimate.org/ put together by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The site is huge with a ton of information. I suggest you go to the "Start Here" link and look at the FAQ otherwise you may get information overload.

  2. The same tired stories about how cold it is this year in China have absolutely nothing to do with whether there  is global warming or not.

It's a general global long term trend, not whether it is cold at your house this morning.  Those answers are absurd and not worth reading.

They are reactionary off the cuff comments by the uninformed and those to lazy to actually think.

And the threat of things like DDT is very much real. Where did you ever get the idea that they aren't.

As for Al Gore predicting global cooling in the 70s, I don't know for sure, but if so why was he talking about his teacher who discovered the alarming rise in CO2 back in the sixties.

And if some feared global cooling in the early seventies, so what?

Could it possibly just be that we understand a little more about these things than 35 years ago?

Only those stuck in lower consciousness are not concerned about the environment in general.

there is a movie about global warming made in 1989 that you can watch on the web for free its called After The Warming
