I am in 9th grade going into 10th and I am running cross country and track next year. I need a good workout plan for the summer so i can stay in shape. I also want to have a good weightlifting plan but haven't gotten around to making one. Any suggestions?

  1. Well you should do around 30 push ups and sit ups a day. You could start lifting weights and slowly start increasing the weights.

  2. Swim daily, it works out every muslce in your body, conditions the lungs (for long distance running), keeps your body in condition for just about anything!

Weight lifting, make sure you only do it every other day of course. Depends on if you want to gain muslce or just maintain muscle. 20 pounds can help you maintain any muscle. Just do 5 reps of 10 each. Slowly... the slower you go, the more your muscle gets worked out.

Another way to help you through the summer is to ride your bike everywhere and leave the car rides to others! Biking works out your legs better than weights!

Get a job... ride your bike there daily. Maybe take up mowing the yard weekly for your parents... that will work you out as well!
