Good workout to sprint+ jog up stairs?

Is it almost the same workout as running on flat places?

Where i live, there are lots of hills and alot of stairs in my backyard. Whats the difference between running up and down stairs and on flat floor?

  1. You will notice you bumm getting nice and firm.  And your legs will get super sore.  I would take it easy if I were you.  Just walk it instead or jogging it.  If you feel it in the muscles, you know you are getting a good enough workout.


  2. well on a flat surface, your only goin foward

    while on stairs its up and foward which is a better workout

  3. Running up hills or stairs is a good muscle workout. It strenthens them, but because of the effort it takes you can't go as fast because you breathe too heavily. Running on the flat allows you to speed up and build endurance. Stairs or hills may hurt your knees because of the pressure on them when going downhill. It would be best to change up your workout because they work different parts of your body.

  4. on the stairs you have to push strait up and on hills you can walk straight
