Good year tires?

Why are people blaming Goodyear for this debacle of a race. Do you honestly think that Nascar just lets Goodyear make the tires as they please?

There are multiple compound tires that all teams and Nascar have a say in using. They have been racing the same circuits year in and year out and the tires have all been by good year.

Do you think that maybe Nascar has a majority of the responsibility here. Do you think that Good year might make a recommendation to harden the tire to make it last longer.

Don't blame the machinery, blame the people. Last time I checked Nascar ran a very tight control over everything that goes into its races.

Evidence by them telling toyota to tune their engines down to stop winning so easily. It has a long history of telling teams and equipment suppliers what they can and cannot do.

Lets blame the paving company next.

Goodyear screwed up and brought the WRONG compound.  They had the right one but shipped the wrong one.  Hence the blame lies entirely with goodyear.

No lets blame Goodyear, look at why they left Indy-car and Formula One. They left because they cant make race tires for cars.

Goodyear makes great drag racing tires for the NHRA.

I look at it this way. lots of people made a big mistake and hopefully we learned from it

There should have been more testing at IMS with the COT.  That was where it was all lacking.
