a friend had a goodman 2 t 13 seer unit installed last summer he states it never cooled very well. i put my guages on it, highh side was 125 and low was18, found capilary tubes frozen after about 30 seconds. replaced filter dryer and installed a service port just before the evaporator coil, high side pressure was the same so was the low side, charge was 102 oz, replaced evap. coil with an adp, with a txv. now the high side is 155 and low is 55, evap coil dosent freeze but only about 1/3 feels cold and does make condensate, temp at the difusers is 72 and indoor temp is 82. what i am thinking the compressor is damaged due to the practices of installation, (also when i cut the low side line at the evap coil, oil came out so i blew the line out with nitrogen.)
