Goofy Surfing Stance..?

Are there pro's and con's surfing in a goofy stance? Should I try and learn in a natural stance?

don't try and be goofy foot if your not, whatever comes natural, i'm pretty sure theres some goofy footers out there, i'm goofy when it comes to surfing and skating but regular for snowboarding...i find that kinda "goofy"

Most people are "regular". However, it is what ever why you feel more comfortable. When you jump on a skateboard which way do you stand? same on a surfboard. As for pros and cons of being goofy, umm? when you first start surfing it will be easier for you to go left (which is good because most people like going right) but as you get better it doesn't really matter. And I guess who could surf pipe front sided that is a plus.

Go whatever feels most natural.  If you don't show a natural preference work on both.  That way you can surf left and rights equally.
