  1. The Ivy

  2. Andrew Edmunds is a small, eclectic/british menu - romantic but won't blow the budget. Soho

Osteria Basilica - italian, notting hill -- nice

Small but Beautiful - eclectic meditteranea Kilburn, very good value

More fun is Rodizio Rico in Bayswater --- this is Brazilian BBQ served off swords

  3. Browns is lovely, its on the bank near tower bridge...50/60's style american diner food, but is very chic and stylish with excellent serive, if your looking for something different then theres a new blind eating restuarant somewhere ic ant remember where in london, or for something more expensive you cant beat planet hollywood off leiscter sq

  4. How about The London Hotel?

  5. BLUE ELEPHANT FULHAM. LOOK ON THE WEB AT "LAST MINUTE.COM"

  6. the Ivy or the OXO tower

  7. Try these two websites:

    www.london-eating.co.uk/

    www.squaremeal.co.uk

They're both very good.  They categorise the restaurants so you can find the type of thing you're looking for in the area you want quite easily.  They also have diner's feedback - so you get independent comments too.

    Bon Apetite!

  8. Loads of good places, Try the restaurant above the design museum at shad thames or any number of restruants around canary wharf. My wife seems to like Jamie Olivers 15 in Old street but I wouldn't call it romantic.

  9. I have enjoyed some grat meals in London over the year (and I know food - I'm a chef in London).  My current favourites are.

Glas - perfect Swedish food served tapas style - lovely staff and nice relaxed atmosphere in Borough

Pattersons - slightly swanky and grown up restaurant in Mayfair - the food looks and tastes more expensive than it is.

St. John's in Smithfields.  Every chef's favourite restaurant - but you must be meat eaters.  English food done to perfection, the lighting is a little stark and you have to be foodies or willing to try anything to get the best out of this restaurant I think.

Salt Yard - modern tapas at Goodge Street, funky but a little noisy at times for a romantic meal.

  10. McDonalds. cant beat it, tastes great. cheap.

  11. For a romantic meal and a nice dining experience; as well as something you can boast about to friends visit the Ivy

    A great hot-spot for celebs

  12. i think u dont get panipuri gaadi,it's great.

  13. ok, in Central London, Soho, there is this restaurant called Ikkyusan (on the main), they do japanese, thai and dim sum, and they are great. the prices are really god too.

in north london, Southgate, there is an Italian restaurant called Fantozzi. the prices are good, food is top notch, good atmosphere and the staff are brilliant!

always in north london Southgate two pubs restaurants to reccomend:

The Cherry Tree...good english food, good atmosphere, good prices, staff bit snotty.

the Woodman...brilliant food, brilliant staff and atmosphere, bit more pricey than the rest but definately worth it!

or in Islington, Angel, there is the Duchess of Kent, who also happens to serve some of the best food ever made! bit pricey too, but good service!

all of the above are suitable for a romantic and relaxed meal. let us know how it went!

    x*x

  14. Depends on your budget.  Check out www.squaremeal.co.uk - they've got loads of information and reviews, and you can specify your budget, your area and the type of food you want when you search for the restaurant.  Bon apetit!

  15. Go to china town and choose a nice restaurant. They do food brought round on a trolley called dim sum. Its a bit unusaual so if you haven't had it before its a nice treat.

  16. Ummm....try the Goog-enhiem. Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

  17. there is a very nice area just off Park lane behind the Hotel called London Hilton on park lane, there is quite a lot of very nice and affordable places to eat, just ask a London Taxi Driver, he is sure to know where it is.

  18. The Ivy is nice. How famous are you ?

  19. try Chiquitos Mexican restaurant, there is one in Leicester square. they make lovely steaks, or you can have sizzling fajitas, start it off with nachos with guacamole dip. plenty to choose from their menus. reasonable price, quality service. thumbs up!

  20. Im sorry i dont know any goog places

But a good place would be covernt grdn - any where!

  21. I like Cafe Pasta in Shaftesbury Avenue (the long road in which Theatreland is situated, next to Piccadily station and the Trocadero.)  It's quite a long way down from the station, but it's a straight road and it takes about ten minutes.  It's an Italian restaurant, and very small and cosy.  The waiters are very friendly, and the food is delish.  They do good desserts, and the prices are very good.  It's my fave place to eat anyway.

If you fancy something a bit different, why not try the Rainforest Cafe (Piccadilly) or Hard Rock Cafe (Leicester Square)?

  22. have a look at http://www.toptable.co.uk/  my local pub when i lived in london was The Gun in docklands which has loads of character.  There was a fire a few years ago and it was totally renovated and is now one of best pub/restaurants in london.  Apparently Lord Nelson used to drink  there!! http://www.thegundocklands.com/

  23. If you really want to wow her go to the Sanderson Hotel. Amazing cocktails to start. Ask for a Lavender Martini and have dinner in the back. It's pricey but for a special night well worth it : http://www.sandersonlondon.com/
