Google Calender Notifications?

I use Google Calender to get the Reminders in my Mobile. In the settings i have mentioned the Time zone as IST (GMT-5.30). And in each event i have set the notifications 5 mins before the start time.

I face the problem that the notifications which i get is so early on the previous date. For example, if my event falls on Monday, i am getting the SMS notification on Sunday evening at 5pm, even though i set it up at 5 mins before the start time in the time zone of IST(GMT-5.30).

Can anyone help me to fix this.

better to check ur Time Zone setting in Google accounts section aswell..
