Question:

Google Chrome privacy?

I'm one of those people who doesn't like to have all their information stored by their browser. Call me old-fashioned. It's just a matter of principle - I'm not Googling "man boy love club," but I still don't want "evil mega corporations" tracking my every move.

Is there a way to automatically start Incognito mode when you open Chrome? I do prefer it to Firefox, but Firefox lets you turn off the browsing history and such. With Chrome, the only way to do that is by switching to Incognito.

Also, in Incognito mode, is anything stored at all?

  1. You have no privacy on the internet.  None.

Consider you local ISP.  Take Comcast, for instance.  Do

you see what they want to do now with charging what

they consider "heavy users" an extra broadband fee?

Meanwhile, people who are only casual, perhaps

occasional users would still pay the base fee.  So what

I'm saying is that you are being monitored constantly.

Whether you come to someone's attention is another

matter.  And if it makes them more money you inevitably

will be "outted" in a manner of speaking.

Creepy.  But it is what it is.

  2. I am not aware of a method to do it in chrome. However Incognito only doesnt store info on the browser, google probably still gets info though.

  3. Its to new... better to wait till they work the bugs out. I tested it and found it to need some work yet. Like when having several windows open.. and you try to open a different web page it will open then close fast.

Firefox3 is out.... And... IE 8.
