Google scrool box needs to go away?

Question

so here the prob when i go to google and i type in like y for yahoo this scroll box comes down and i so dont want to know what ive been vistiting how can i make the scrool box go away?.....i already went in to my google account to see if that would help my deleteing history but nothing it has nothing to relate to it when im not signed in......so i need the scroll box to go away when i am and am not signed in thanks for you help

If your Toolbar has a wrench icon, follow these steps to disable search suggestions:

1. Click the wrench icon on your Toolbar.

2. Click the Search tab in the 'Toolbar Options' window.

3. Deselect the 'Suggest searches as you type' checkbox.

4. Click the Save button.

If it does not have a wrench:

1. Click the Settings button on your Toolbar.

2. Select Options from the drop-down menu.

3. Click the Search Box Settings button.

4. Deselect the 'Suggest popular searches' checkbox.

5. Click the OK button.

That should do it!
